It's All In The 'Plates'..,,

License plates, that is! Seems the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, and three individuals in Tennessee have a problem with some proposed speciality license plates for cars. The one in question is Choose Life, which isn't even in circulation.

Tennessee started a special program several years ago that allowed private groups to share in the revenues collected from speciality plates, which cost $35 extra. The Choose Life plates were created in 2003 by a legislative bill, but the amendment to allow Pro-Choice was struck down. The Democratic Governor allowed it to become law without his signature and then started a review of the entire program. In stepped the ACLU and others. A Federal Judge in TN ruled in favor of the ACLU in 2004. The Tennesee Right To Life is urging all that want the plates to contact their legislators and the court system, expressing their support for the Choose Life plates. Otherwise, they may never be seen on the road, if the ACLU has their way.
