In support of our troops..

You can send a postcard to a soldier at Let's Say Thanks. The postcards are made by young people. You pick the one you want, write your message, and it is sent, postage-free, to a soldier in one of the armed forces overseas. This is a good way of getting the message out to all our troops that we appreciate the job they are doing, fighting for our country, and that we are praying for them.

Thanks for posting this. Mail from back home means more to these soldiers than anyone could ever imagine. My brother said that he and his fellow troops would LIVE for the times when the mail would arrive.

Of course, some of the soldiers have no one. As in, nobody. No family or friends, unless you count their fellow troops. To send a letter to a soldier who has no one awaiting his or her return is to send that soldier a miracle. An extra reason to stay safe.

This is something in which we all can be united: Democrat, Republican, Christian, Jew, One Eyed One Horned Flying Purple People Eater. Until our troops are home, sending these cards is a WONDERFUL idea. Thanks again for posting it.

For those who are interested, the following site is excellent, too. It is run by the father of a Marine who fought in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Might open your eyes about what life for our soldiers is like over in that hell hole. Our men and women make do with very little over there, and they need so much. They deserve even more.
