I think we're on the same wave link! My TT is of the same thing. ;)

"Midnight Cry" is one of my favorites, too -- I just ran out of numbers before I could add it to my list. And I adore the Gaithers!

Hope you can stop by my TT. :)

I love your list of hymns and songs of praise. These are the very songs that my mother played and sang as I was growing. They definately helped shape me. Be Blessed!

why is mr. linky showing delete link next to my link? that's new. just curious.

I remember singing How Great Thou Art at the top of my little lungs when I was a kid. The lady in front of our family at church would turn around and smile at me!

Kimmy said...

Great list! Several of these are my favorites as well! Thanks for a great list!
Happy T13!

while I like singing contemporary songs in church, the old hymns are still wonderful!

Raggedy, I wanted to put out the music for each of the song titles, but couldn't find them for some. So I found the lyrics.

Great list. My all time favorite christian song is O Holy Night. I know it's a Christmas song but still...

Thanks for sharing.

I like the Gaithers too!

My parents love the Gaithers and The Old Rugged Cross was sung at my Mom's memorial service.

Tomorrow would have been their 59th wedding anniversary.

Thanks for visiting.

There's some wonderful songs on that list. Love that you linked vocals and lyrics to them :)

Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by my T13!

Thanks for stopping by my TT.
I know most of this songs in Dutch!

MaR said...

I don't know the songs but it is a nice think you linked to the lyrics. Nice to meet you through TT and thanks for dropping by! come again. Happy TT!

Barbara said...

Carmen, I agree with you. I just wish our church song leader felt the same. They never sing hymns anymore, and most of us older people miss them. And the young would learn to love them, too.

Tink - that is neat that you know these in Dutch!

Everyone else, thanks for stopping by my TT today.

Miss Britt - definitely - Amazing Grace is one of my favorites! We used to sing it EVERY Sunday morning, first thing, in church, when I was the pianist and helped lead singing. They 'outgrew' me. :)

Great list. My dad's favorite is Beautiful Saviour. That hymn brings back such great memories that I would have to say it is my favorite as well.

How Great Thou Art ALWAYS makes me cry. By the end, I'm a blubbering sniffling singer. It's sad.

What a great list of songs. It reminds me of when we would have gospel singing groups at our church! I love it...it's one of my favorite childhood memories. Churches don't do that as much as they use to! Thanks for stopping by my TT!

Geekwif said...

Ah, the old hymns. They are so wonderful. Thanks for reminding me of them.
