I know that good will come of this disaster... and I know that America will somehow be stronger for it.
What I don't know is how some people can think of nothing except to blame and whine and NOT get involved in the relief effort!

I think you are right. I don't adhere to all the gloom and doom I'm hearing from some, about New Orleans not needing to be rebuilt, or it should be 'built somewhere else.' It wouldn't be New Orleans, then. That's home to others, just as our place is home to us. But, I have been reading that lots won't ever return there. They will build their lives elsewhere.
Lots of people make a living blaming others and whining! You know they don't have time to get involved in helping someone! :(
