Clinton Criticizes Bush
Yahoo News has a report today that Clinton sharply criticized Bush for his war on Iraq, handling of Hurricane Katrina, and the large budget deficit. Never mind that Bush has tried to be one who crosses political lines and used former President Clinton, along with former President Bush, to perform tasks in his administration. This certainly helped keep his name in the limelight!On Hurricane Katrina, Clinton faulted the authorities' failure to evacuate New Orleans ahead of the storm's strike on August 29.
He said 'authorities', but everyone knows this one another strike at the Bush administration.He went on to say buses should have been lined up to take the evacuees out of New Orleans. He did place a small amount of blame on the local and state administrations, but failed to cite their failure to use the buses they had! Just place it square on an administration that really couldn't act until the local and state government acted. And, they definitely were in arrears in their actions!
Clinton criticized the focus of Bush's disaster relief.“You can’t have an emergency plan that works if it only affects middle-class people up,” he said.
Clinton was asked to join former President Bush in order to raise money for the Katrina relief fund. And, this is how Clinton repays the President.Clinton said that lower-income Americans had done better under the economic policies of his administration than they are doing now, and said the storm highlighted class divisions in the country that often played out along racial lines.
Is he now saying that President Bush is playing this out on racial lines? I may be wrong, but I think this guy is campaigning for the Democratic ticket in 2008 for his wife, Hillary Clinton. Otherwise, why is he browbeating Bush in an unprecedented action of a former President?

Oh my gosh, that article just steamed me to my very core. That man is a weasel. How can he sit there and make any of this about the poor and racism? His information is skewed at best (more like blatant lies). As for tax cuts, everyone knows that MIDDLE class carries the budget, not the top 10% and not the bottom 10%. The "poor" get ALL of their taxes BACK!! I know this as when we were military (under clinton's reign) we made poverty level wages with ridiculously low cost of living raises each year. We not only got back everything we paid in but additional money as well called "earned income credit". This whole mess that lower income doesn't get a tax break - whatever! I've had enough of the clinton's, time for them to go home already. What class (sarcasm) coming out to berate a current administration. It's too bad the media didn't get ahold of clinton while in office and afterwards. The man lied under oath for crying out loud, like he'd have any qualms about lying to the media (which I might add we now know he's done numerous times).
Ok, enough ranting from me lol.
Blair, just keep ranting. You are right! We've had enough of those two, and, for heaven's sake, we don't need them again! If people put her in office in 2008, they are both 'blind and deaf'!
You are right; the lower income people do get tax breaks. I know plenty who do - those who are single women with several children, and don't make enough - they get it all back and more! And, that doesn't have a color attached to it, either!
