America definitely needs CHANGE!

We need leaders with integrity, love of the Constitution and the law, compassion for the people back home, loyalty to their families, and the love of truth! Seems most of these is missing in most of our leaders in Washington D.C. today.

We have heard about so many marriages going on the rocks because of a politician cheating on his wife. I know Washington does not lay claim to all of the adulterers, but they have their fair share. It just seems, during an election year, they come out of the woodwork.

So do those who cannot seem to tell the truth, or realize the truth shall find them out. Case in point -
Attorney General Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut. Seems he had 5 deferments from the military, ending with him getting a spot in the Marine Reserve in 1970. This was during the Vietnam War. He used that to tell people that he served in the Vietnam War, which is untrue. He never left the US while in the Reserve. But he apparently felt comfortable telling people he did on several different occasions. But it finally caught up with him when he had an interview on Monday.

  • In an interview on Monday, the attorney general said that he had misspoken about his service during the Norwalk event and might have misspoken on other occasions. “My intention has always been to be completely clear and accurate and straightforward, out of respect to the veterans who served in Vietnam,” he said.
You can make a mistake, but when you deliberately twist the truth, then it is a lie. How can one be 'completely clear, accurate, and straightforward' when the truth is no where to be found in the comments? I think Blumenthal was very misleading in his statements to the veterans as he has been over the years.
  • In 2003, he addressed a rally in Bridgeport, where about 100 military families gathered to express support for American troops overseas. “When we returned, we saw nothing like this,” Mr. Blumenthal said. “Let us do better by this generation of men and women.”
When he made the statement above, he knew that he had never been in Vietnam and that he certainly was not in the Vietnam War.

Hopefully, change will come in the November election. Today, in some of the primaries, we saw change coming! People are outraged at things going on in Washington with their total disregard for what the people of America want. They get in office by saying things people want to hear. Then, when they get in Washington, they do what they do best - forget the people back home and do what they want to do!

Not all politicians are without integrity. Some even READ the laws before they vote for them. But, for the majority, they need to be replaced with true conservatives - those that believe in the sanctity of marriage, pro-life, Constitution, smaller government - not those with a forked tongue. The problem is they speak what they think you want to hear during a campaign and then become turncoats upon winning the election. That is why we need to really pay attention to what they say, and learn all we can about each candidate. Then use our wisdom to pick the best candidate we can to do the job in Washington.

It's Darkest before Dawn

One moment it is dark, and the next moment, we see light. This is the dawning of the day.

And this could be the outcome of the Health Care bill tomorrow. The vote will come tomorrow afternoon. Right now, they say they have the votes to pass the bill. But the truth will not really be known until the actual vote comes up.

There have been many changes in the way they are going to vote. It has been said that they were going for the Reconciliation Bill first. Then they were going to vote on one bill to get enough to vote for the passage. That way they would not have to say they actually voted for the Health Care bill, but it would still be ‘considered’ voted on. I thought this was kind of hypocritical! Either you vote on the actual bill with a yea or nah, or you haven’t voted on it at all. You can’t say you’ve done something when, in fact, you haven’t.

Right now, the House is saying they have the votes. But, apparently they don’t, or the President would not be coming to Capital Hill to talk to the Democratic Caucus. He is still campaigning for ‘president’, trying to get this ‘so-called’ important bill passed so his presidency won’t be lost. I hate to tell him, but it doesn’t matter whether it is passed or not, there will be lots of losses for his people come November. I don’t think that the people of this country will forget that their preferences on this situation have been completely ignored.

Those of us who are Christians do need to keep praying that Congress will listen to their constituents back home and adhere to their wishes. We need to pray for the President to get wisdom and guidance for what this country really needs at this time, which is not the complete re-overhaul of our health care, but to fix the things that are wrong. We definitely do not need a complete government take over which is going to happen if this bill passes.

In Joshua, He tells us to be strong and very courageous.

Isaiah 41:10, "Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."

The Lord is with us all the time, even unto the end of the world. Let’s keep praying that this bill does not pass. Right now, I am listening to Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House, talking to the Caucus in front of the President. You could not help but hear her say, “We will be making history”. And, I feel this is the only reason they have pushed to get this bill passed, to ‘show’ the world that they can do what nobody else has been able to do. And the reason it hasn’t been done is simply because the people do not want it. SO continue to PRAY!

NOTE: If this bill is so good for all of us, then why doesn't the Congress and the President add themselves to it?

Has shut down of Conservative Radio Hosts started?

Is this the sign of what is going to happen in the near future? We've heard it over and over that the government wants equal time between conservative and liberal talk show hosts, although the liberals have a hard time staying 'alive' on the radio.

Supposedly, Kirby Wilbur of KVI-AM radio, a long-time conservative talk show host was let go. The station says it's because of ratings. But with loyal listeners since 1993, I kind of doubt it.

Climate Treaty

After hearing about this treaty, I've gotten very curious to exactly what is in it. Here is an article by Chuck Norris.

Here is an article from Bloomberg.com on the Climate Change Treaty to be signed in Copenhagen in December.

New World Order - Treaty to be signed

I had heard absolutely nothing about this treaty that is about to be signed by our President and other countries. Listen to this intently and make up your mind. I think we need to pray that God delivers us from this, that our President does not sign it for whatever reason. Otherwise, life will never be the same, and as the guy explains, we can never go back!

I realize that God allows things to happen. But I also believe he listens to the hearts of His people who live by his commandments and pray according to his Word. And, if we pray and believe, and ask Him, then I think he hears us and will give us the desires of our heart. I also believe, if we never put our concerns into action (prayer), then we will never know if God would have given us the desires of our heart! For me, I am not afraid to ask God, even if he rejects my prayer for something He thinks we need/deserve. After all, He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. He knows what tomorrow holds and he always has our best interest in mind.

Words to the Wise

For those of you who are worrying about what this proposed Health Care bill will do for you, the following is a must read and see:

Being a Senior, although I don't feel like one, I worry what this is going to do to our health care. The President keeps saying we can keep what we have. But what does that really mean, considering the elderly are mostly on Medicare. We have a second insurance with my husband's company from which he is retired that takes up the slack. But how long will that last, if the proposed government insurance plan is pushed on us in 1 to 5 years? One thing I heard was that, no matter what we have now, we will have to 'change' in 1 to 5 years. In other words, as the President said once, 'just words'?

We have seen so many things he promised for 'change' go amiss. In other words, his words were for pomp and circumstance. Those well-chosen words got him elected and now he is doing what he set out to do. And he has chosen those to fill positions that he feels most closely associate with his beliefs and the end result he is after. The end result of this plan is going to bankrupt America and kill off the elderly, the disabled and the young.

Those of us who are truly concerned with the outcome are being viewed as not really knowing the 'truth' about this bill. But, who really knows the truth, considering the 1,000 plus pages haven't even been read by Congress? What is the rush to get this bill passed? What are they hiding? I bet you there is plenty hidden in among those many pages that would 'gag a maggot'. In other words, there is much the President and those siding with him do not want us to know. But it is slowly seeping out. I pray more and more is revealed and the people, as a whole, rise up in protest. We are slowly being drained of our freedom even to live on this God-given earth!

There is a verse in scripture that warns us to be aware of things that will begin to happen in the end times. We will have trials and tribulation here on this earth and it is quickly coming to us, regardless of what the politicians say. But there is an end in sight for those who know the Lord personally.

  • Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
There is no need to worry yourself into a heart attack because of what the President is trying to do. We can pray against the harmful effects of this bill, trust the Lord to take care of us, and hang on. His Word says 'I have not seen the righteous forsaken nor his seed begging bread'. (Psalm 37:25) So lets join together in prayer against this bill and believe the Word of God that says he will 'hasten my word to perform it'. There is strength in numbers and power in His Word!

Sarah Palin is here

And she is here to stay. No matter how some people try to discredit her, she remains a threat to those that think she doesn’t have the ability to be President. In fact, if she didn’t bother them so much, then they would not be trying to discredit her continually. Instead, her name would be dropped and she would not stay in the public’s eye. But she continues to show herself strong in her governing of Alaska, and her ability to win others to her way of thinking.

Sarah Palin’s name has been on the tongue of every newscaster in the US and perhaps across the world. Most of those have had nothing but derogatory things to say about her. But there are those that hold her in high esteem and give her credit for her accomplishments, not only as a woman, but as a person who does not stop because someone has tried to humiliate her on the air. I think Katie Couric tried to do just that when she interviewed her and then only showed parts of the interview that made her look less than professional.

David R. Stokes has written a great piece about Sarah Palin called “The Quayling of Sarah”. Those of you who really think she is a person to be reckoned with will enjoy this article. Stokes talks about Chris Matthews and how he made fun of the ability of Sarah Palin to write a book. Remember, he’s the one who got a thrill up his leg about Obama, the guy who came from nowhere to become our president – a guy with hardly any experience. Yet, we have a woman who has come up the ladder to become the Governor of the largest state in the United States, who had lead her state with conviction and courage, and has great favor among her constituents. Yet, Matthews thinks she’s too dumb or perhaps stupid that she isn’t capable of putting her own thoughts and beliefs on paper for the rest of the world to read. Well, Matthews may have to eat his own words, which he will never do – but we are here to remind him!

So, Mr. Matthews – go ahead and make fun of Sarah Palin. Do your best to color her ditzy and as someone with no depth. But just remember, she actually has character and courage. And Americans will be seeing more of her graceful, politically popular, and winning profile for many years to come.

They'll be regulating God next!

A ruling by the EPA in Iowa says 'farm dust open to regulation'. Please tell me how a farmer can delegate where the dust from his machinery goes! This is one of the most ridiculous that the government has ever come up with! The farmer has no way of keeping the wind from blowing the dust his machinery causes from going over to his neighbor's ground. This is like saying he can regulate the wind, in other words, regulate what God has set on earth!

But farmers insist the regulation will affect their operations and eventually their bottom lines. And they said unlike fixing a bus, they have few options for limiting dust from their fields and roads.

Roger Zylstra, a director with the Iowa Corngrowers Association, said if left alone, farmers can compete worldwide. But regulation could impede their success.

He said there seems to be a disconnect between farmers and policymakers.

"Many of the people that are making the rules, it feels like they really don't know what (farming) issues are," said Zylstra, a Lynnville resident who has worked on a farm for 35 years.

The government says its goal is to protect the public and they are calling it health-based. I'm calling it absurd! It will eventually put the farmers out of business in the US!

We have a duty

VOTE

And that duty is to get out and vote on Tuesday, November 4th! If we don't vote, then we don't have the right to complain about who is elected President. So get out and do your civic duty and vote. But please do the research and know what you are voting for when you cast your ballot. There are so many things at stake here like freedom of speech. If the 'Fair Doctrine' is implemented once again, then the Conservative talk show hosts will be off the air and you will not be listening to the 'other side' of the story. Also, taxes are going up regardless of what is being said on one side of the aisle. So be sure you know the true facts before casting that important vote.

Help keep AMERICA FREE!!

The Master's Touch

Today, we are 4 days from the 2008 election for President of the United States. Many have already gone out and voted early, not waiting for the final day to vote. Many people were advised to go vote by one candidate so they would be sure to get their vote in. It was as though there was a rush to make sure the voters didn’t have time to change their minds before they voted.

Many have taken the polls to mean that the Presidency has already been decided. This angers me. There are millions of Americans who have not voted in this election. And most will not vote until Tuesday. It is upsetting to hear the airwaves filled with ‘it’s over’, on the attempt to discourage conservatives from voting. Friends, it isn’t over until the last vote has been cast. And, then, it might not be over. Remember the ‘hanging chad’ episode in Florida? Hopefully, it won’t go that far this year, but already we have heard of lots of fraud in the voting process.

But there is one thing that keeps up the hopes of those of us backing the ‘underdog’. And that is that the Master is in control of the situation. His will for this country will be done. It could be with either candidate. I believe He wants this country to prosper. But, this nation has done so much to heap retribution upon us. We have thrown Him almost out of society, aborted millions of babies that were not wanted, forgotten the old people and the widows, and now others are calling one candidate ‘their Messiah’. How much can the Lord take before he dishes out the punishment that we surely deserve?

In His Word, he says, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD." (Isaiah 55:8) We need to pray and repent and seek His face before we go out and vote. We need to know what God’s Word says about different things that are being said in the campaigns, what each stands for, and to know that we are aligned with the Word of God so we are closer to His thoughts and His ways. After all, His Words says we have the mind of Christ. (I Corn 2:16) And, when we do that, we will have done what God wants us to do – get closer to Him. Then, perhaps His will shall be our desire.

Hyprocisy in the media

There are so many of the people out here in the public that are fed up with the way that Governor Sarah Palin has been treated since being chosen by McCain for his vice-president running mate. They have jumped on her hot and heavy first with the statement (NOT the truth) that her 17 year old daughter was the real mother of the new baby that was born with Down Syndrome. They have also made statements that she should have made a different choice when she found out through tests that this baby boy had Down Syndrome. In other words, she is pro-life and that offended some that she didn't get an abortion. It is sad how easily some can throw away the life of another human being. I questioned one other day and asked him how he would have felt had his own Mom wanted to abort him. He thought it would have been no big deal. Things happen. :(

Then, to combat that accusation, she opened up her family's life more by telling the world (which had no business knowing) that her 17 year old daughter, Bristol, was 5 months pregnant. She went on to say that her daughter had made the choice to keep the baby and marry the young man she has been dating. But this young girl has been raked over the coals, too, and she doesn't deserve what she is getting. I applaud this young woman for making the correct decision. She will never be sorry that she decided to carry this child to term and enjoy the baby for years to come. The other alternative that most would love to have seen her take was abortion. But they don't understand that this is a very close-knit family. They value every child that comes their way. They are pro-life and would never think of aborting a baby.

The Democratic party (Obama, to be exact) believes in late-term abortion. He has made the statement that he doesn't want his girls to have to be burdened with a baby until they are ready for one. In other words, I'll make sure my daughters have a chance to have an abortion if they happen to get pregnant and don't want the baby. That upsets me and many others that think children are a gift from God. Not one of them is here without a reason.

It appalls me that they will ask questions of a woman that they would never ask of a man. Would they ever ask Obama how he's going to run the country with 2 girls at home while his wife is working at her high-salaried job? She's not a stay-at-home Mom! And, did they question Joe Biden when he chose to go back to work and leave his two sons every day after his wife and child were killed? I don't think so. So why be hypocritical now in asking these questions of her? Also, it angers me that they are attacking her and her daughter when they found out that her 17 year old girl was pregnant. Just because this young girl made a mistake does in no way reflect on the parent's upbringing of their children. Many families have these problems in their family, but it doesn't mean they aren't good parents. I believe this is happening to Sarah and her family simply because she is pro-life and didn't entertain abortion.

I used to have a little hope for some of the reporters, but I'm losing respect for the majority of them this week! I applaud those reporters that have taken a stand for Sarah Palin and her family, though, especially Laura Ingraham! I saw her and Greta VanSustern last night. And she recognized how Greta felt because of what was reflected in her eyes. But you know what? John Coale, Greta's lawyer husband, who is a democrat, has gone over to the republican ticket and is now working for the McCain campaign. He thinks that McCain is the best bet for our country at this time. You can view the interview by Tammy Haddad on video.

Absent in mind, present in body

I have actually been around this past week and came close to posting several times. But I just never could make my mind completely up as to what I should post about. I have read so many things and heard so much on the news that you would think something would stir this brain of mine and make me want to post.

This is mostly a Christian site, but I haven't posted any Christian posts lately except the one about Dr. Dobson. I keep thinking I will post one for the persecuted church but, as of yet, nothing has really caught my eye.

The one thing that really stays on my mind is the state of our country and the upcoming presidential election. It bothers me that we have a person who is not well known but who is now high in the polls. It doesn't bother people that he only wants change, that any change will do as long as it's different than what President Bush has done. It doesn't bother people that our taxes under this guy will be sky high, that more and more of our pay check will be going to the government to do with whatever they please, whether it's to dig them out of a hole or give to the illegals. Oh, and the illegals probably love this guy because he's going to make it legal for them to have a driving license. There are so many things that bother me about Obama!

The media seems to woo him and are trying to make him look like the preferred candidate for the president. But, they hardly know that McCain is out there running, too. I think they should give both candidates equal time and the same hard questions. But I don't think you will hear the media changing their tune or their outlook before the election.

The media is so into Obama and his campaign that I heard today that NBC was calling his trip to Iraq a 'tour of duty'. What?

In a letter to the New York Post, Richard Bucco of New Jersey had the following to say:

The editorial "Barrack's Iraq Trip" (July 19) can be very telling for this rookie's aspirations.

These Arab leaders want Sen. Barack Obama to be our next president, for he is a plum that these leaders can juice up and then stab in the back.

As long as our drive-by media give Obama airtime and praise, we're falling right into the hands of our enemies.

I hope that our generals in Iraq give Obama the works so that he understands that he is not yet president.

Neither the media or Obama understand that he hasn't yet made it to the finish line.

Three strikes and you are out

When the baseball games start, everybody is out there in the stands cheering for their favorite team. With each ball thrown, we look for a home run or, at least, for the batter to get on the base. With each strike, our heart misses a beat, wondering if the next one will be a hit or miss. And, when that third strike comes, we know our batter had made an out! No turning back the clock – it’s over, done; he is out!

Obama has been playing the game of hit and miss for awhile. He calls it ‘change’. First, we find that he has been in a church for 20 years where his pastor has taught hatred toward whites, another form of racism or bigotry. He is for abortion, including late term abortions. 75% of Americans are against late term abortions. He feels that parents of young teenagers should not be told their child is having an abortion. In other words, parents, you have no right to making decisions that will impact your child for the rest of her life. Then, there is his statement in which he thinks a young girl would be ‘punished’ with a child, if she made a mistake – he spoke about his own girls here. A child is a ‘gift from God’ the last time I looked.

Then just a few days ago, Mr. Obama commented in unscripted remarks to a Pennsylvania audience that if when his daughters become teenagers, he does not want them to be “punished with a baby” if they make a mistake.

Punished with a baby? Is that any way to refer to the miracle of life, even under unfortunate circumstances?

In a 1996 questionnaire, Obama said he is for the absolute ban on Americans owning handguns. 75% of Americans believe the Second Amendment gives citizen the right to own firearms. And, to add insult in injury, last week, Obama said he was against law-abiding citizens ‘who pass a background check and complete any required classes’, from having a concealed-carry permit.

Mr. Obama’s extreme views on the Second Amendment and abortions, coupled with giving benefits and driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants, and his opposition to surveillance of terrorist phone calls overseas, start to form a coherent portrait of a political radical with a pleasant smile and easy manner. The candidate who has said that evangelical leaders who speak out on issues like religious liberty and same-sex marriage, have “hijacked” Christianity, has provided us with an ample supply of social and national security issues to vet.

When we add to this picture his positions on economic issues, we get a firm grasp of what Mr. Obama is all about. It is the pattern that is disturbing and newsworthy.

Voters are being sold a bill of goods. It is far more than Mr. Obama not being a moderate. The more we discover about him, the more he goes from looking like a big-government, doctrinaire liberal, to being a radical on the fringe of the political spectrum.
I wonder when the media will start asking the correct questions and letting the public know exactly what this man believes and what his intentions really are, if he became President. Give the public the full picture in order for them to make an ‘informed decision’ rather than taking Obama at his Word. He himself says they are ‘just words’.

Apologize - ALONE!

I am with Neil Cavuto on this one! When a person gets in trouble, they usually do it alone. This is what happened with some recent politicians. Yet, when they are caught, they go before the microphones with wife in hand, for ‘support’. To me, it’s only humiliation in the highest form!

The wife and family are the ones that need support for what they have already been put through. But, these men seem to be so needy they bring their wives to stand with them on the podium. I could see the humiliation written all over New York Governor Spitzer’s wife today as he announced his recognition. What wife would not be humiliated when she finds out her husband has been using prostitutes! I, for one, would not be a wife standing on stage were my husband to be found using prostitutes! He would have to bear the burden by himself; after all, he got himself into the mess!

Going back to the last few men who have been caught at something, whether it was the prostitution rings or the homosexual scandals, they have brought their wives out for support. When I see a woman standing on stage, I wonder if she’s there for his support or for her children. Today, Governor Spitzer’s wife looked as though she wanted to be every where but with him. But she was made to endure his long speech of how sorry he was – probably sorry he had been caught. But, pictures sometimes speak louder than words. And, then, the footage showing them arriving back at their apartment only 15 minutes later, she jumped out of the SUV and made it for the door very hastily. That is not the way of a loving wife – one that actually supports her husband. Or, it is not my way!

Proud to be an American

Copyright Graphics by Irene

The last few days we have heard the commentary on a statement made by Michelle Obama. In a campaign statement, she said, "for the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country." I have no idea where she's been all her life to just now find a place where she can be proud to be an American. The freedom we have in this country should make each of us be proud to be an American! No other country has the freedoms we do.

Just a few of the words from Lee Greenwood's song "I'm Proud to be an American" should make everyone stop and think what it means to be an American.
And I’m proud to be and American,
where at least I know I’m free.
And I wont forget the men who died,
who gave that right to me.

And I gladly stand up,
next to you and defend her still today.
‘ Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land,
God bless the USA.
Michelle Malkin writes a good piece on the subject entitled "Michelle Obama's America and mine".

Another thought provoking post is over at Third World County entitled "Change is good?".

I cannot picture myself being born and growing up in a different country than America. We have opportunities here that people in other countries would love to have. No wonder you find so many migrating/immigrating to America to live out the dreams they have. Sure, there are hardships here, problems, high costs, etc., but tell me a place on this planet that doesn't have problems? Outside of heaven, you will not find a place that is totally peaceful and not hit by the plague of problems. But, here in America, we have a chance to make a difference. The question is, 'what are we going to do about it?' WE are America and we can make a difference, if we make the right choices. Heaven help us if we 'make a change just to make a change to make a point'.

Riding the wave

I’m not usually into politics all that much. But, with advancing years, it seems to be more in the forefront of my mind than it was when I was younger. This year, in particular, has bothered me most in all the past election of years.

There has been a stream of GOP hopefuls, many just riding the wave for name recognition (my opinion). When you have seven or eight politicians campaigning, it is hard to get behind any of them. I’ve seen too much barking between candidates rather than them making clear their positions. My first choice had been Fred Thompson, but I feel he stayed out of the campaign trail too long before entering. Therefore, people did not take him seriously.

Today we have John McCain, Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee, and Ron Paul still on the trail vying for the attention of voters. I personally do not think Ron Paul has a chance and is wasting his money, but his beliefs are making it out to the people. Mike Huckabee, although an evangelical Christian and preacher, has not staked his claim to the majority of Christian voters. I believe he is a very articulate man, very honest and forthright, and perhaps make a good president. But, rather than gaining in the primaries after the win in Iowa, he seems to be losing out. On the other hand, John McCain, who ran low in the two primaries, seems to be the front runner over Mitt Romney now. But, the bid for nomination is not over and we will see lots more mud slinging before that selection is made known. Super Tuesday could bring about lots of changes. But, right now, it seems to be a two-man race between McCain and Romney.

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani pulled out of the race after Florida and endorsed McCain. I have just listened to the Governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, give his endorsement of McCain this morning. I do not know what these endorsements will do for McCain or whether the ones who voted for Giuliani will go on to uphold his choice for President.

Who ever our choice for President is, we need to vote on Super Tuesday. Choosing not to vote only helps those less qualified to perhaps gain the nomination. And, voting shows your support for the great country in which we live today. Too many of our rights have been taken away, and the choice of nominees for President may make the difference in our losing more of our freedoms or salvaging what is left.

Atheist Michael Newdow at it again

If Michael Newdow gets his way, 'In God We Trust' will be erased from our money. In 2002, he sued Congress and several officials to get the 'under God' taken out of the pledge of allegiance. But, a judge found two years later he didn't have a case since he did not have custody of his children. He immediately sued on behalf of some unknown families. And, in 2005, it was upheld by a federal judge in Sacramento.

In 2005, a federal judge in Sacramento found in favor of Newdow, ruling the pledge was unconstitutional because its reference to "one nation under God" violates children's rights to be "free from a coercive requirement to affirm God." The judge said he was following the precedent set by the 9th Circuit Court's ruling in Newdow's first case.

A panel from this same court is to hear arguments on this case as well as the case for taking 'In God We Trust' off all our money. Newdow says making money with that phrase violates the First Amendment which requires separation of church and state.
Last year, a federal judge in Sacramento disagreed, saying the words did not violate Newdow's atheism. Newdow appealed.

Congress first authorized a reference to God on a two-cent piece in 1864. In 1955, the year after lawmakers added the words "under God" to the Pledge of Allegiance, Congress passed a law requiring all U.S. currency to carry the motto "In God We Trust."

I have a feeling that this man would go to his grave suing Congress or whomever in order to get these two things changed throughout the nation. And neither of them present a problem to him or his children. If you don't want to say the Pledge of Allegiance, don't. And, what harm does the 'In God We Trust' phrase do on the money in your hand. I have yet to hear of anyone being made to trust in God by the money they have in their pocket or hand! I believe this man just enjoys seeing his name in print! Or perhaps he wants to make a name for himself in history. Well, if that is his objective, in my opinion, he has already reached the mark!
