FCC Becoming Pro-Family?

The FCC regulates interstate and international communications by radio, television, wire, satellite and cable. There have been changes in the FCC makeup with the appointment of conservative Kevin Martin as FCC Chairman. Pro-family activist Penny Nance has also been hired as special adviser.

“We as parents know instinctively that simply viewing pornography of any kind can be damaging to children.”

Pat Truman of the Family Research Council believes President Bush will be the deciding factor on the future of the FCC. If he appoints pro-family members to the commission, the indecency rulings coming up may break for the family. Let's hope so!

Freedom of speech has been ran in the gutter in recent years. Seems nothing is too bad to put on the air waves. And, speaking of one shock jock, I'd love to see him permanently barred from ever speaking over the air waves anymore. He's not comfortable with anything that's not raunchy.
