President Bush Expected to Name Bernanke to Replace Greenspan
Reuters is just reporting that President Bush is expected to replace Greenspan, whose tenure runs out in January, with Ben Bernanke. Bernanke is now Chairman of Bush's Council of Economic Advisers. His move from the Federal Board of Governors to the White House was watched on Wall Street as a likely replacement for Greenspan as Federal Reserve Chairman.
