Where Is Your Jesus?

Apparitions of Jesus, as many call them, have been appearing on very unusual things. For years, we've heard about different appearances of Jesus or Mary. Lately, there was the 'sighting' on a 50 year old walnut wardrobe. Now, there seems to have been another one on a flower pot! Where will Jesus be 'spotted' next?

This flower pot with the image of Jesus (?) was found on the island of Cozumel, at the Occidental Grand, after 200 guests emerged from their shelter after 3 days, after the onslaught of Hurricane Katrina. A receptionist first saw it, then others began to come and bring candles and worship before it. Now, it's sort of a 'shrine', roped off by a crimson cord strung between brass poles, with a single candle before it.

The Word says in Exodus 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. I believe anything that we 'bow down to' is our god. We should never worship before something such as a 'wall, wardrobe, or flower pot' that 'seems' to have the face of Jesus upon it. None of us know what Jesus looks like, so how would you know whom you are worshipping? The Bible says that satan is transformed as an 'angel of light'. And, he comes to steal, kill, and destroy whom he may!

God says in John 4:24 that God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

The Spirit of the Lord dwells in all born-again believers. Why should be we looking for something else, i.e. images on wardrobes, walls, doors, flower pots, to bow down before and worship? HE is with us always!

Images are fine, but idolizing them isn't.

The priest's encouragement to the older couple to pray TO the images was... wacky even if they had been Orthodox.
